Join in on an exciting historical walking tour. The tour begins in the heart of the Old Town, Stortorget which is the oldest square in Stockholm.
The Old Town have a fascinating history and its charming cobbled streets are a true joy to explore. Walk along narrow alleys and visit the most famous sights as Royal Palace, St George and the Dragon and Riddarholmen Church. The guide takes you on a leisurely walk and you will hear stories and legends about the city and the people who used to live here. During the tour you will also discover German architecture, labyrinths of charming streets and much more.
After a while we leave the Old Town area and walk over to the pretty islet Riddarholmen and Birger Jarl Torg (Torg means Square in Swedish). Birger Jarl was the man who reputedly founded Stockholm. Learn more about him and admire the most eye-catching attraction on the island – Riddarholmskyrkan. This is an impressive church built in the late 1200s. Hear all about the tales and the history behind this iconic Swedish abbey. To finish off we will visit Evert Taube´s terrace. From the terrace you have a panoramic view of Lake Mälaren. Your tour ends here at Riddarholmen.
